Story
From a Struggled Youth to a Mindful Guide: My Journey to Calm & Clarity
I'm ready to share "My Story" but writing about myself has never been easy.
Where would I be without mindfulness and an understanding of how the brain and breath work?
I imagine I would be a stressed and unhappy woman — overwhelmed, reactive, perhaps shouting too much at the people I love. Eating not from hunger, but to soothe myself. Maybe reaching for a few glasses in the evenings just to switch off. Pushing my body at the gym, ignoring its signals instead of listening to its wisdom.
I see a woman who says “yes” far too often when her whole being is asking for a gentle but firm “no.”
Always rushing. Living in constant hurry. Working in a job that keeps everyone else satisfied while slowly draining the life out of me. Overstimulated, running on adrenaline & cortisol, and ending most days completely exhausted.
A mum who places everyone else’s needs above her own, believing that self-sacrifice is the price of love.
Mindfulness changed that story.
